Designing Via Phone (Follow the directions at the end of this post... and you can WIN)

Updated: Jul 11, 2021

This year, we have already faced many challenges and spent way more time at home than we ever have before. Most of us are juggling multiple things from working remotely to being a stay at home parent to being a homeschool teacher. There are times we have all felt overwhelmed and that is alright. You need to remember to take time for yourself. I know you are reading about that from many places, but it is worth repeating. Investing in your homes upkeep, and remodeling is a good way to help keep yourself healthy, productive, and happy.

Remember investing in your home is a great way to get a quick return on an investment! Not only does it give you hope and beauty you can enjoy in the moment, but helps with the resale value of your home if you choose to sell!

Now, you may be looking around your house and noticing that you need a change. That is perfectly normal, especially when you are confined for long periods of time in the same space! Wondering where to begin can become overwhelming during this time... We can help you with that even with the social distancing restrictions! Consultations by phone and virtual house walkthroughs. With all the technology at our finger tips, we can get the planning portion taken care of so when we get to our new normal, we can go full steam ahead on your design needs.

If you choose to not use a designer, remember:

  • Identify the areas you want to improve and what are your improving in those areas. For example, you may want to update your kitchen. Make a list of what in your kitchen you want updated – paint or replace kitchen cabinets, update cabinet hardware, replace flooring, change your sink, install backsplash, etc. This gives you an idea of how big of a job and you will have a better idea of how much it will cost.

  • Get some estimates. You may want to make some of these updates yourself to save on expenses. However, a lot of times you may be able to have a pro do it for the same amount or even less depending on the task. Professionals will receive discounts on materials that you won’t be able to get. While this is unlikely, you will at least have the information to know why you decided to DIY.

  • Create a realistic timeline. There will be some things you need to do at the same time – replace the sink at the same time as replacing countertops.

We are here to help you with your renovation journey when you are ready. These times are really challenging. Have faith that we will make it through this before long. We are so grateful for each and every one of you! We are excited to announce that we are going to be giving away a design consultation via phone call to one of our subscribers. If you haven’t subscribed yet, do so now and we will select a lucky subscriber by 6pm on Thursday, April 30th! Winner will be contacted via FB on or before May 1st!
